Sheldon Ward began studying alternative medicine in 1990 and, by 1996, had qualified in Health Psychology, Naturopathic Medicine and Sports Massage Therapy.

Over the next few years he became a specialist in the treatment and rehabilitation of American Football injuries, focusing especially on knees and shoulders.  He then advanced to Head Therapist of The Great Britain Crusaders American Football Squad. Further study led him to qualify in Remedial Massage and Soft Tissue Manipulation and he became a lecturer in both for a number of years.

Having been in private practice since 1996, Sheldon has treated most types of muscle and joint injuries within a wide variety of age groups and from many activities and sports, including Ballroom Dancing, Rugby, Tennis, Football, Ice Hockey and Equestrian Events.

Since 1998, he has been fascinated by the effectiveness of soft tissue techniques and Cryotherapy (ice) in the treatment of soft tissue injuries, and has worked with hundreds of clients and elite athletes to develop individual treatments and rehabilitation programmes - unique to their needs.

In addition to remedial massage treatments, Sheldon qualified as an Equine Bodyworker in 2003 with Equinenergy and now combines his work for human clients with travelling nationwide to treat soft tissue injuries in horses.  In 2007, he began studying for The Monty Roberts Preliminary Certificate in Horsemanship with Kelly Marks at Intelligent Horsemanship and has completed all the foundation training.  He will now be embarking on a horse psychology project, which will bring him closer to obtaining the final award of Registered Associate.
